
PRISCILLA GILL, EdD MBA PCC
Priscilla Gill is passionate about building the workforce of the future. As director of workforce learning and an executive coach at Mayo Clinic, she is responsible for the enterprise-wide learning strategy to accelerate staff growth and development.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication and marketing from Rollins College, and both her master’s degree in business administration and doctoral degree in organizational leadership and human services administration from Nova Southeastern University. Her research focus is on leadership development of women and ethnic minorities in health care.
Prior to Mayo Clinic, Gill served in similar roles in other health care organizations and the telecommunications industry. She has served as a community leader to develop and support women of African descent, board member of the International Coach Federation Phoenix, executive committee member of The Conference Board’s Enterprise Coaching and Development Council, and has held corporate responsibility for diversity and inclusion. She maintains active membership in various professional organizations, including The Conference Board’s Learning, Development and Organizational Performance Council and the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches.
Gill enjoys using her varied health care, leadership and coaching experience and understanding of the business world to help leaders create vibrant and engaging cultures that deliver optimal results.

DAWN E. NELSON, MSN RN
Dawn E. Nelson, RN, is nurse administrator, Education and Professional Development Division, Department of Nursing, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to that, she was a nurse supervisor in the Pediatric Subspecialty Outpatient Center. She also spent 14 years working on the inpatient side in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a staff nurse and then moved into the Pediatric Critical Care outreach coordinator role prior to her Pediatric Subspecialty nurse coordinator role. She holds the academic rank of assistant professor of nursing, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She joined the staff of Mayo Clinic in 1992.
Nelson earned her associate degree in nursing from Normandale Community College and Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Viterbo University. She completed her Master of Science in nursing degree in nursing administration from the University of Mary. She is certified as a Mayo Clinic Quality Fellow: Silver Level through the Mayo Clinic Quality Academy. She has achieved Excellence in Education Administration and Leadership at Senior Fellow level through the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
Her clinical interests are pediatrics, pediatric specialty care, family-centered care, critical care, RN care coordination, ambulatory care and nursing education. She has been invited to give presentations both internally and nationally and has received awards and honors for her work.
She is active in excellence through teamwork, education, academic appointment and promotions, and leadership. She also has served as a mentor and coach for many nursing staff, nurse managers and others.
